AgBoost Is Heading to the 2026 South Poll Field Day & Cattle Auction

We’re hitting the road again, and this time AgBoost is headed to Kentucky.

Join us September 18–19, 2026, at Unity Farms in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, for the 18th Annual South Poll Grass Cattle Association Field Day & Cattle Auction.

We’re looking forward to spending two days with cattle producers, breeders, and industry professionals who share a common goal: building better, more productive herds.

If you're attending, come find the AgBoost team. We’d love to talk cattle, genetics, data, and what you're working toward with your herd.

Why South Poll Field Day Matters

South Poll cattle were developed with practical production in mind, with an emphasis on traits including fertility, longevity, heat tolerance, calm disposition, and the ability to perform efficiently in grass-based grazing systems.

Those are exactly the kinds of real-world production goals that make better herd data so valuable.

Every producer has different priorities. One operation may be focused on fertility and maternal performance, while another is looking closely at growth, feed efficiency, carcass traits, or maintaining genetic diversity.

The important part is knowing what's actually happening within your herd.

Better Cattle Decisions Start With Better Data

You know your cattle.

AgBoost is built to give you another layer of information to work with.

Our livestock management platform combines cattle genetic testing, herd data, performance information, and AI-powered analytics to help producers better understand individual animals and their herd as a whole.

Instead of simply collecting more data, AgBoost helps turn that information into something you can actually use.

That can mean identifying animals with the genetic potential to support your operation's goals, making more informed replacement decisions, evaluating breeding pairs, tracking parentage, monitoring performance, and building a clearer picture of where your herd is headed.

Know What's Under the Hide

Phenotype will always matter. So will the experience that comes from working cattle every day.

But what you see doesn't always tell you everything.

Genomic testing for cattle can reveal information about an animal's genetic potential that isn't visible from the outside. AgBoost helps producers take those results and make them easier to understand, compare, and apply to real-world herd decisions.

Depending on the data available, producers can evaluate traits related to areas such as:

  • Maternal performance
  • Fertility
  • Growth
  • Feed efficiency
  • Carcass quality
  • Calving ease
  • Docility
  • Parentage
  • Genetic conditions

The goal isn't to replace the producer's judgment. It's to give producers better information to use alongside it.

Genetics Should Support Your Operation's Goals

There is no single definition of the "best" cow or bull.

The right animal depends on the operation.

For grass-based cattle producers, efficiency, fertility, longevity, maternal ability, disposition, and adaptability may carry significant weight. Other producers may place additional emphasis on growth or carcass characteristics.

That's why AgBoost is designed to help producers look beyond individual numbers and understand multiple traits together.

Better genetic decisions aren't necessarily about chasing the highest number. They're about identifying cattle whose genetics align with what you're trying to accomplish.

And when those decisions are repeated generation after generation, they can help build a more consistent and productive herd.

Let's Talk Cattle at South Poll Field Day

Events like the South Poll Grass Cattle Association Field Day are one of our favorite opportunities to get out from behind the screen and talk directly with producers.

We want to hear about your operation.

What traits are you selecting for? What challenges are you trying to solve? How are you currently managing your herd records? Are you already DNA testing your cattle but aren't sure how to put all that information to work?

Bring us your questions.

We can show you how AgBoost helps turn complex livestock data into clear, practical information you can use when making breeding, selection, culling, and management decisions.
